Most things worked out of the box ... the wireless card being an exception ... but I accidentally had the external switch in the off position when I installed ... so that may be the reason. However, it's working now, but seemingly in 11 Mbps mode only.
One piece of exciting news is that in kernel 2.6.22.2-42 the brightness function keys work! The others don't seem to. However, I'm having to use 2.6.18-1.2798 (which was the kernel that came with my copy of fc6) as 2.6.20 introduced a bug (which remains in 2.6.22) that means my bluetooth usb stick doesn't load up. And I'm using bluetooth to connect to the internet via my mobile phone (setting that up too about 20 times longer than setting the laptop up!!).
I've had some problems with hibernate but haven't yet worked out exactly when they occur (too much time on bluetooth!).
I'll update you if there's any more news.
