I&#8217;ve generally resisted this because I feared hunch becoming a pure announcement zone while I am much more interested contentful posts and discussion personally.  Nevertheless there is clearly some value and announcements are easy, so I&#8217;m planning to summarize announcements on Mondays.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eecs.tufts.edu\/~dsculley\/\">D. Sculley<\/a> points out an interesting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kaggle.com\/c\/SemiSupervisedFeatureLearning\">Semisupervised feature learning<\/a> competition, with a deadline of October 17. <\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.research.rutgers.edu\/~lihong\/\">Lihong Li<\/a> points out the <a href=\"http:\/\/webscope.sandbox.yahoo.com\/catalog.php?datatype=r\">webscope user interaction dataset<\/a> which is the first high quality exploration dataset I&#8217;m aware of that is publicly available.<\/li>\n<li>Seth Rogers points out <a href=\"http:\/\/stats.stackexchange.com\/\">CrossValidated<\/a> which looks similar in conception to <a href=\"http:\/\/metaoptimize.com\/\">metaoptimize<\/a>, but directly using the <a href=\"http:\/\/stackoverflow.com\/\">stackoverflow<\/a> interface and with a bit more of a statistics twist.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Various people want to use hunch.net to announce things.
